LGBTQ To Host Pride Hoops

On December 7th of this year (2016) Pace will be hosting an event that will provide an opportunity yet again for students to mince about each other and engage. This event was announced per Department of Athletics and Recreation, the event to be is LGBTQ Pride Hoops night for men and women.  If students at Pace don’t know this will be the first time that this event has been held on the university campus at Pleasantville. All games will take place in Goldstein Fitness Center with the first one being the women’s basketball game at 5:30 pm and then after that will be the men’s basketball game, both teams face a powerful conference opponent Southern Connecticut State University.

“I think it is great that the efforts of Pace are thinking of ways to bring students to gather around each other as a student body,” said Fred Carpentari who is a junior at Pace.

It is evident to some students that even something as simple as prompting students to attend a basketball is key in the campus life atmosphere. Anything to bring students together is for a good cause. Carpentari was able to get word of the game and plans to invite friends from the school to attend the game to support both women and men basketball games. The first 300 to attend the games will receive a shirt and other accessories. There is no presale as students and others will pay at the door. Ensuing this will kick off the start of the semester coming to an end in the next few weeks.
