Housing Points

Students at Pace are always interested in how the housing points really work. Housing points are a systematic thing that calculates an accumulation of things including campus involvement such as events on campus as well as dorm events to even students who are athletes.

“Most students think that it’s as easy as attending an event here and there,” said Myles Martin who is a junior at Pace.

Martin, explained that the more events you attend the better chance you have of obtaining more housing points. These housing points create better chances for students to apply for housing. Most students should take advantage of the events that happen on campus as you may never know who is watching and keeping track of students activities.

“Normally I try to urge my friends to come attend events with me so that if we all wanted to room together we could, everybody must win,” said Jasheem Banks who is a sophomore.

Banks, who was a freshman last year had to learn how to go about getting more housing points. With being a busy student he had to result to attending events that normally were later in the night at his residence hall which allowed him still to make up for lost time. Not only did that help but also grades. Banks urged friends to do their best in class as he knew that would help gain more points. This semester Banks was able to see his labor pay off as he was able to room with his friends and be in the residence hall that he applied for.
